What is the Rave product line
Rave is a Linux, frame based, line of disk drive recorders that exceed any expectations of a traditional DDR. Rave products can drop on the network as easy as any computer. Give it proper connections (Reference, SDI, RS422) and now the studio can use it like a deck (in both slave and master control mode). Rave supports the full video gamut from SD to 4K, in both single use and stereo mode (that's two virtual vtrs in a single box sync'd together to do stereoscopic or two virtual vtrs running independently of each other).
Rave supports features you have become accustomed to with existing DDRs and VTR's, however this is where the comparison with today's DDRs end. With studios and companies working together to expand a product that was once traditionally just a black box, Rave has already exceeded the expectations of many and is the only product of this kind using code developed entirely in-house.
