Constantine

Tippett Studios currently uses RaveHD as their dailies and finals solution for all of their work. Constantine being just one of them.
RaveHD has allowed Tippett to automate much of their dailies pipeline so that artists are free to create. Through the automation process scripts that perform items such as clip aging and format conversions are possible with a simple notation in the database.

Features such as blacking frames so that artists can begin to view their work as soon as it starts coming in off the render farms and searching on metadata are also automated.

Shots come directly off the render farms onto specified DDR/s so that artists can view their work in an uncompressed YUV, RGB, 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 format.

The backend SQL database allows Tippett to specify the specifics of a shot so that the interface can be kept simple and easy to use for the artists. Items such as handles, slates, audio, LUT information and more is stored in the database so that artists can make a single click to change what they are viewing.

The Constantine hell scenes took a fair amount of rendering time, with RaveHD being frame based Tippett is able to go back and render and replace any given frame if need be, rather than re-rendering an entire sequence, saving many hours.
