Conversions are offered two ways. Some are part of the standard Rave distribution and some are part of a codec library that will be offered as an option on a per format basis. Rave has the ability to go from DPX to both ffmpeg and to the Main Concept codecs. The Main Concept codecs are offered as an optional add-on.

• This version has the path for the converted sequence hard-coded in but is scheduled to change to give the user the choice. All jobs are pre-set templates so that you can load in only what you wish the end user to see (this screen shot only reflects a few of the conversion formats possible).
• Once a job is started it is sent off to the Job System where you have the ability to stop, delete or prioritize the process. The Jobs System is responsible for watching and maintaining the I/O needs of Rave (please refer to that feature for details)
• Some conversion process can happen in real-time with I/O, please contact us for details.
• The conversion process can be automated

Converted DPX frames to files such as these MPEG1 files can play in a variety of players, including Xine (shown with different skins)
