SpectSofts releases new RS422 code that supports dual independent slave and master control. For some time we have been supporting stereoscopic with Rave and have been working to add in independent machine control of each of the modules. This is an added feature that is being adopted rather quickly as it gives essentially two SR decks in a box. Rave was designed to run many server daemons on the system (we have tested up to 100) and it all becomes about how much hardware can be packed behind it. With the support of 10GB, infiniband and fiber and the ability to connect up to a SAN, you can see where this will go rather quickly.
