RaveHD and DiceHD Rental Information
RaveHD Systems are Now Available for Rental
(Oakdale, California -- February, 2008) SpectSoft LLC., a leading provider of uncompressed video solutions announced that the popular Linux based uncompressed recorder/player is now available for rental.
"In use worldwide, RaveHD has seen tremendous growth over the years and has been adopted by many major facilities as the backbone for uncompressed recording and playback. RaveHD offers up the ability to record and or playback dual streams of either SD, HD, Dual Link or 2K material in either sterescopic mode or as independent sources. RaveHD also ships standard with additional features such as: up-convert, cross-convert, down-convert, Burn-in, LUT support, up to 16 channels of embedded audio, 8 channels of AES, Conforming, split screen and conversion tools to name a few. "But it's the tools that are a little harder to put in black and white that has really made RaveHD popular", comments Jason Howard, Lead Programmer of RaveHD. "The tools that we have built in for automation and integration, along with the fact that we supply our source code for companies purchasing RaveHD really sets this product apart from anything else".
RaveHD natively records and plays back standard industry DPX frames and functions as both a video device, such as a VTR and as a file server. RaveHD can be dropped onto the network and be accessed just like any other server in the facility while at the same time be used in say a color session on a davinci. RaveHD does support the ability to convert to a variety of formats that include, MPEG, Quicktime, AVI, DNxHD and shortly DVCproHD.
